Manufacturer Provided Description

Here’s the latest incarnation of a living legend, the Fountain 47 Lightning. How do you improve on a boat that is known throughout the world as one of the greatest racing hulls in history? It isn’t easy. Only Reggie Fountain’s magic touch could bring about such a transformation. Start with modified step locations and angles of attack. Powerboat Magazine named it the 2006 offshore boat of the year, and for good reason. Looking for staggered twins with exceptional center of gravity balance? Bolt in a pair of Mercury 700s with NXT1 gimbals and #6 uppers and lowers and run 88+ MPH. Try two 850’s and you’re over 100 mph. Power it up with twin Mercury 1075s and hit a top end of 115 mph.
