General Description
The Carver 355/356 was one of Carver’s most popular models because it provided the accommodations and amenities of larger motoryachts in a smaller, easy to maneuver package. A deep swim platform with a molded stairway provides age friendly access to the aft deck. Liveaboards will find boarding with a lot of groceries a much easier proposition than the vertical ladder common to many motor yachts.
Though designated a 355, this model has a hull length of over 39′ with the integral swim deck, and LOA is slightly over 41′ including the bow pulpit.
Private staterooms for two couples are augmented by a convertible dinette and sleeper sofa in the salon. The full size refrigerator is dual voltage so it will run while underway without the generator and, with the addition of a larger capacity house battery bank, she can anchor out with minimal generator usage except for cooking and periodic battery charging.
