The Hunter 40.5 was conceived as a comfortable cruising boat as well as a tough competitor in racing, too.She blends comfort, performance and short-handed sailing capabilities all in one package. Her powerfulrig, swept back spreaders and large mainsail enhance her performance, whilethe bulb-wing keel keeps her stable and shallow in draft. In addition, Draft Choice is exceptionally easy to sail with her electric halyard winch, Strong Track mainsail system, Lazy Jack Stack Pac system and roller furling system.A wide-open cockpit, complete with table, keeps you comfortable in a seaway or on the dock.

Down below, there is an incredible salon finished in rich fabrics, hand-rubbed teak and Corian counters. The L-shaped galley is a truly workable space that includes a Technautics refrigerator and separate large freezer, four burner stove with oven, microwave and even a built-in cutting board and garbage can. Accommodations are spacious and can handle a crew of six. The Hunter 40.5 boasts 17 opening ports and enough dry storage to comfortably live aboard.
